Salar Asid is an accomplished violinist who plays Middle Eastern and Western Classical music. Salar has participated as a violinist in more than 60 albums, both as a soloist and a composer for various artists, singers and orchestras. He has in addition recorded music for a number of film and TV programs. Salar began playing the violin at an early age and has since gone on to attain an MA in music and teach in a number of countries in the Middle East and Europe. He is the founder of a few small bands and orchestras in his native country, Kurdistan. Salar is a well known violinist not only in Kurdistan and Iraq, but throughout the Middle East.
